About
Progression is one of the pioneers of maloggae, the genre born from the fusion of traditional maloya and reggae, which marked a whole generation in Réunion. Led by singer Jean-Michel Moutien, from the Saint-Leu area, the band draws on popular Creole culture.
Emerging in the 1990s alongside Naéssayé, Baster and Ousanousava, it set the bals and kabars alight, from the first albums (« Progression », 1992) to the comeback « Vibrasyon Malogué » (2024).
